Michelle Witt, LPC

Licensed Professional Counselor

Michelle received her Masters in Clinical Psychology from the University of Alaska Anchorage in 2005. She has been working in the Mental Health field since 2003. She spent six years working in a local residential facility, specializing in working with adolescent girls and their families. She has been working at Bridges Counseling Connection since 2012.

Michelle enjoys working with youth and adults on a variety of issues such as depression, anxiety, trauma, life transitions, etc. She also has experience working with families navigating communication barriers and resolving family conflicts. Michelle uses a client-centered approach in sessions, as well as incorporating skills from CBT and DBT. Michelle also uses Mindfulness techniques in order to help clients improve on being in the present and having the skills to regulate their emotions. Michelle has experience working with clients identifying unhelpful thought patterns and learning the skills to challenge those thoughts.

In her free time, Michelle enjoys traveling with her family. Michelle is also interested in maintaining an active lifestyle through running and participating in local running events alone and with her family.
